The last thing our kids need this year is another Easter basket full of just chocolate and candy. Every year I’m trying to think of more thoughtful gift ideas, and this year I’m focusing on things that promote creativity, fun, and physical activity too!
Secondly, I don’t know about you, but we also don’t need another Easter themed basket that’s going to sit in the Easter tote in the basement for 364 days out of the year. That being said, I’m sharing my favorite Easter 2022 gift basket hack with you!
The Easter Basket Hack
After implementing the life changing Spark Joy philosophy years ago, I still feel like we have work to do, and always feel like we could use more organizational baskets and bins. So why not double dip this Easter, and use a pretty, multifunctional basket that can be used for your kid’s Easter basket, and then easily transitioned into your linen closet, kids room, pantry, or in our most recent case, our living room as a nintendo switch holder!
Don’t worry, I’ve already done the work for you! I’ve rounded up some of the cutest alternative Easter 2022 gift baskets below! Some we already have and love, and some I’d still like to have, especially for our Family Lounge Project!

Basket Gift Ideas

One of my favorite gifts to add to an Easter basket are these awesome children’s’ books! The, If Not You, Then Who? book bundles make for the best gift basket idea, as you can purchase anywhere from 1-5 books in a bundle. They aren’t like any other children’s books we’ve ever read, and are truly enjoyable for the entire family!
This fun book series aims to teach children curiosity, passion, and how to materialize their ideas into useful inventions. They give real life examples and behind the scenes of commonly known inventions, and explain how they came to be! Their goal is to teach kids from all backgrounds that no dream is too big, and no dreamer is too small to succeed.
My husband and I actually learned a lot ourselves while reading these books with our kids, and I have to admit, they DO leave you feeling inspired to invent something! After recently reading one of the books from the series, The Inventor In Pink Pajamas, we thought it would be fun to have the kids think of a “problem” in their day to day lives that could use a solution. What they came up with was simple, intuitive, fun to create, and made them feel oh-so-proud!
